Loko Technologies (Private) Limited ("Loko", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Loko app you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, phone number, and profile photo — as well as information generated when you use the Service, including trip origin and destination, GPS location data during trips, device identifiers, and app usage analytics. We may also receive information from third parties such as payment processors and identity verification services.
Your data is used to provide and improve the Service, match you with driver-partners, process payments, send notifications about your trips and account, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with driver-partners to the extent necessary to complete a trip, and with service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time via the Settings screen. Location data is only collected while the app is in use unless you have granted background location permission. For questions or requests relating to your data, contact us at privacy@lokoglobal.org. This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically; the date of the latest revision will be indicated at the top of the policy.
Deleting your account: You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app — customers via Account → Manage Account → Delete Account, and driver-partners via the Delete Account option in the home menu. You must first complete or cancel any in-progress trip or order. Deletion permanently removes your profile, your login identity (including your authentication record), and any identity-verification (KYC) documents you uploaded. For legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations we retain certain transactional records — such as completed trips, orders, and earnings or payout history — in a de-identified form that is no longer linked to your personal identity. Trip and transaction records are retained for up to 24 months (financial records may be kept longer where law requires).
